The city of Hong Kong has been home to Evgeny for the past 15 years. With a dancing career spanning over two decades, he moved to Hong Kong with the ambition of becoming the country’s Professional Latin American and Ballroom Dance Champion. After achieving this title, he represented Hong Kong in international competitions around the world.
From a young age, Evgeny has been fascinated by the connection between physical and mental health. His academic journey began at a medical college, where he completed a two-year internship in medical labs and clinics. He then pursued a bachelor’s degree in pedagogy and psychology in modern art, followed by nearly a decade of work at the Sport School of Olympic Reserve, where he served as a coach, sport adjudicator, and curriculum writer.
After retiring from competitive dancing, Evgeny earned a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Iowa and a Master of Counseling from Monash University.
Recently, Evgeny has been applying his expertise and experience in various settings. He works as a Social and Emotional School-wide Counselor at The Harbour School Hong Kong and, as a dedicated advocate of behaviorism and couples therapy, provides counseling services at the Inner Compass Counseling Center. Additionally, He continues to share his knowledge of dance and health education with students worldwide.
