
Dr. Weining Chang

Born in Nanjing China, Weining Chang was educated in Taiwan (BA in Law; National Taiwan University) and the United States (MA, PhD, in Psychology, the University of Houston). Chang went on to post-doctoral studies at Harvard Graduate School of Education, the University of Michigan/Ann Arbor on human development and mental health. In addition to serving on the faculty of National University of Singapore and Nanyang Technological University, she has held visiting faculty positions at Duke-NUS graduate school of Medicine, University of California/Berkeley and University of Western Australia. She has led research teams to develop Singapore Mental Health Indicators for Health Promotion Board/Singapore, conducted the Youth at Risk Project for Singapore Prison Services and led a training team for mental health service capacity building in China in the aftermath of the May-12, 2008 earthquake. Currently she conducts research and training in psychological resilience, family resilience and mental wellbeing.
