Dr Roy Chan is a UK, Hong Kong, and Singapore registered clinical psychologist.

Dr. Roy holds a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology (PsyD) from the California School of Professional Psychology. Dr. Roy previously worked with the local and international community in Hong Kong before returning to Singapore during Covid, so he can speak fluent Cantonese. Dr. Roy is now the founder of his own clinic Cloaks and Mirrors based at International Plaza.

Cloaks because what people cannot face, they keep cloaked in their unconscious. Hidden, yet so omnipresent in its influence.

Mirrors represent the metaphorical mirror that a psychologist holds up to help their clients see their blind spots. It also alludes to Foulke’s concept of the hall of mirrors, where we see reflections of ourselves in others.

Taken together, Cloaks and Mirrors encapsulate the whole experience of psychodynamic psychotherapy which Dr. Roy practice. Apart from working with the subconscious, Dr. Roy also has a special interest in love, sex and relationships.
