Dr. Michael Eason holds both Master and Doctorate level degrees in Psychology. His graduate training was in the Humanistic and Transpersonal Psychology tradition. He is a Chartered Psychologist by the British Psychological Society. Additionally, he is a Licensed Professional Counselor in two US states and is recognized as a National Certified Counselor. Since moving abroad in 2013, Dr. Eason is a Registered Counsellor in Hong Kong with memberships in the Psychotherapy Society of Hong Kong and the Hong Kong Professional Counselling Association. He is Clinical Director and Co-Founder at Lifespan Counselling in Hong Kong, where he specializes in substance abuse/addiction, anxiety, trauma-informed care, and LGBTQ+ issues in adults and teenagers.
Dr. Eason was first author of a book chapter titled “Collaborative Therapy and Playback Theatre: A Collaborative-Dialogic Model of Insight” (2019) and co-author of another chapter titled “The Relationships Among Simulation-Based Learning, Creativity, and the Learning Approach in Higher Education” (2021), both published by Springer.
