Dr Dan Seal is a British Clinical Psychologist with 23 years of experience in London, Singapore, and Kuala Lumpur. He has lived in Malaysia for the past 13 years, working at the University of Malaya Medical Centre and Prince Court Medical Centre, while also volunteering with refugee-focused NGOs.

Throughout his career, Dr Dan has been drawn to supporting people who are unlikely to seek psychological help. In the UK, this included refugees and young people involved in gangs. In Malaysia, he noticed that many people do not think of turning to a psychologist at all.

To help change this, he founded Share Resolve – a social enterprise that prioritises helping others over profit. Through Share Resolve, he collaborates with local clinical psychologists who better understand Malaysia’s languages and cultures, adapting Western psychological approaches to make them more accessible and effective for Malaysian communities.
