Carmen Low is a Malaysian Clinical Psychologist, who began her career in social work, spending six years with NGOs in rural Australia and Malaysia. She has always been drawn to work with disadvantaged and vulnerable individuals, particularly women and children. Her early experiences taught her the importance of being present for those whose voices are often unheard – and sparked a drive to extend her support beyond practical needs to the internal challenges they may face as well.

Motivated to broaden the ways she could help, Carmen pursued formal training in psychology and qualified as a Clinical Psychologist. Today, she integrates her background in social work with clinical practice, providing inclusive care to the wider community.

As someone who grew up speaking Cantonese and attended mainstream Kebangsaan schools, Carmen has played a key role in helping Share Resolve develop psychological services that feel more familiar, meaningful, and usable for people in Malaysia.
