Reshie began his professional career as a doctor. He chose to leave medical practice over 20 years ago, fully retrained and now works as a practising psychotherapist and Clinical Director of the Living Free Institute that specialises in the psychotherapeutic treatment of trauma and stressor-related disorders, substance use disorders, and other disorders of extreme stress not otherwise specified (DESNOS).<\/p>\n
In the past, he has worked in multiple and varied environments, from the prison service in Singapore to the luxury-end of the private sector. As Head of the Trauma program at The Cabin in Chiang Mai, Thailand he led a team of counsellors in delivering Asia\u2019s first full inpatient trauma program. He also set up The Cabins’ outpatient facility in Singapore as Head Counsellor in 2015 which included the first fully dedicated intensive outpatient program for trauma in Asia.<\/p>\n
He has been the Clinical Director of a small bespoke addiction facility in Bali where he was part of the team responsible for setting up the facility, creating a fully trauma-based clinical program, training the clinical staff in the use of that program and running all the clinical functions of the facility (2019). He did the same thing more recently in Australia (2024).<\/p>\n
He also acts as a consultant to multiple organisations and is a regular guest Speaker on podcasts and at conferences. He has just published his first book titled “A beginner’s guide to trauma” which is available on Amazon.com.<\/p>\n
