All use of the\u00a0Lighthouse Independent Media<\/em>\u00a0pages (\u201cLH\u201d) is subject to the terms and conditions set forth below. By completing the registration process, clicking the User Agreement acceptance \u201cbutton,\u201d and using LH, you represent that you are 18 years old or older and agree to abide by the following terms and conditions. The terms \u201cyou\u201d or \u201cUser\u201d refer to the person who completed the registration process.<\/p>\n Definitions<\/strong><\/p>\n LH contains two types of content:<\/p>\n Use of LH<\/strong><\/p>\n LH hereby grants you a non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access and use LH for the fees and under the terms described in this Agreement. Only one person at a time may access LH using the User\u2019s screen name and password without the prior consent of LH. The User may, free of charge and on an occasional basis, make up to 10 copies in paper form of an individual article appearing in LH for non-commercial use provided the User includes all copyright and other proprietary rights notices that appeared on the original and includes a notice indicating that LH is the source of the material. For all other hard copy uses please contact the Permission Department (Tel: +65 6423 0329; Fax: +65 6423 0117; Email:\u00a0subscriptions@marketing-interactive.com) for information or instructions. Fees are determined by the extent of use. The User may not disseminate any portion of LH through electronic means, including mail lists or electronic bulletin boards, without the prior consent of LH. Consent for special arrangements regarding electronic distribution may be obtained from LH by contacting Soren Beaulieu.<\/p>\n Except as expressly permitted in this Agreement, LH may not be reproduced, transmitted, or distributed without LH\u2019s permission. The User may not commingle any portion of LH with any other information and shall not edit, modify, or alter any portion. All of LH\u2019S Own Content is either the property of Lighthouse Independent Media. (\u201cLighthouse\u201d) or is licensed to Lighthouse. The User shall honor all reasonable requests by LH to protect LH\u2019s proprietary interests in LH.<\/p>\n The User\u2019s Content<\/strong><\/p>\n The User grants to Lighthouse the non-exclusive right to use all material entered into LH by the User (other than third-party material transmitted through private electronic mail) in any of Lighthouse\u2019 print or electronic publications.<\/p>\n Users entering material into LH are responsible for the content of that material. Neither LH nor Lighthouse has any responsibility for Other Content, including the content of any messages or information posted by Users or others, or for the content of information accessible via direct or indirect hyperlinks from LH. However, LH retains the right, which it may or may not exercise in its sole discretion, to review, edit, or delete Other Content which LH deems to be illegal, offensive, or otherwise inappropriate.<\/p>\n You may not input or distribute any material through LH that is promotional in nature, including solicitations for funds or business, without the prior written authorization of LH.<\/p>\n The User agrees to indemnify LH and Lighthouse from all damages, liabilities, costs, charges and expenses, including reasonable attorneys\u2019 fees, which LH, Lighthouse, their affiliates, employees, and authorized representatives may incur as a result of either: (i) the User\u2019s breach of this Agreement; or (ii) material entered into LH with the use of the User\u2019s screen name or password. LH reserves the right to assume the exclusive defense and control of any such matter for which the User has agreed to indemnify LH and Lighthouse in which event the User shall have no further obligation to indemnify with respect to that particular matter.<\/p>\n NO WARRANTIES\/LIMITATIONS ON LIABILITY Privacy Policy<\/strong><\/p>\n LH may, from time to time, use information you provide as part of the registration process to send you information regarding other products or services from Lighthouse that may be of interest to you. In addition, LH may provide aggregated, anonymous statistical information about LH users to other persons, including potential advertising clients. For detailed information about the Lighthouse Customer Privacy Policy, and your rights under it, click on the hyperlinked text at the bottom of this screen.<\/p>\n Term and Termination<\/strong><\/p>\n This Agreement will continue until terminated by either LH or you. The Agreement can be terminated by either party by notifying the other party by telephone or electronic mail of the decision to terminate.<\/p>\n LH may discontinue or change LH, or its availability to you, at any time.<\/p>\n Free Circulation<\/strong><\/p>\n LH reserves the right to qualify subscribers to a complimentary subscription. We undertake to provide the publications and events offered with reasonable care and skill. We do not warrant that availability or delivery of the services will be uninterrupted or error-free. We will not be liable to you for any loss, damages, costs, claims or expenses incurred as a result of any customisation of or amendment made by you to any of contents available from LH.<\/p>\n
We reserve the right to increase our prices without prior notification. Unless a date of when an offer expires is notified on our order forms, the prices quoted on our order forms are valid for six months, after this time we reserve the right to charge the current price for the publication\/event; please see our website for full and up-to-date prices.<\/p>\n
No cancellation is allowed upon registration. There will no refund made for non-attendance; however if you are unable to attend and would like to replace with a substitute, please contact our Project Managers at +65 6423 0329.<\/p>\n
We reserve the right to change these terms and conditions from time-to-time, and without giving you prior notice. We will post any changes on our website(s).<\/p>\n
This Agreement constitutes the entire agreement between the parties relating to LH and supersedes any and all other agreements, oral or in writing, with respect to LH. The failure of LH to insist upon strict compliance with any term of this Agreement shall not be construed as a waiver with regard to any subsequent failure to comply with such term or provision. This Agreement is personal to you, and you may not assign your rights or obligations to anyone. If any provision in this Agreement is invalid or unenforceable under applicable law, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect. This Agreement, your rights and obligations, and all actions contemplated by this Agreement shall be governed by the laws of Singapore, as if the Agreement was a contract wholly entered into and wholly performed within Singapore.<\/p>\n
